Introducing our Executive Assessment Service (EAS)

Making critical people decisions can be highly complex and have significant repercussions. To overcome this, FirstPerson offers an Executive Assessment package that provides you with expert insight to de-risk these decisions for both selection and development.

This independent assessment service, provided by our associate Psychologist, evaluates an individual and their work history including their leadership capability and is reported back against your own leadership framework.

"Our independent assessment service provided by our associate Chartered Occupational Psychologist provides an exclusive and professional view on a preferred candidate or group of individuals depending on your precise needs. "

The assessment will understand the environments in which an individual will excel or struggle, allowing us to provide clear feedback on their future potential within a specific role. We have the resource and capability to confidentially source pre-agreed information, and provide you with the insight to aid in setting recruitment strategies and making better business decisions.

Using our EAS gives you access to the expertise of a leading Psychologist along with our own experience across a wide range of sectors and industries. We have developed a selection intervention designed to understand what drives and motivates someone, what makes people unique along with establishing their core values and distinctive strengths. This allows you to make an informed decision regarding organisational fit and likely success.

Such resources and scientifically proven assessment processes aid selection decisions and have been shown to result in:

  • Increase in productivity
  • Cost savings
  • Decrease in staff turnover

So, when critical leadership decisions need to be made — choosing between candidates in a merger or acquisition, building the right new team, placing a new team member into an existing structure, or selecting potential organisational leaders, our EAS allows your organisation to make these decisions more confidently, and avoid costly mistakes.

Assessment Tools

Assessment Tools

EAS utilises a unique and profound set of assessment processes, involving market leading psychometrics and in-depth behavioural analysis. This is driven from a one-to-one diagnostic meeting with our Psychologist who can support you and your organisation in identifying and releasing the potential of both new and existing staff.

EAS incorporates Personal Construct Psychology, personality questionnaires and culminates in a behavioural and motivational interview including life influencers, Repertory Grid Analysis and paper and pencil questionnaires.

From our in-depth assessment we will produce a non-judgemental written report with a summary of the candidate’s emotions and energy, core drivers and motivations, interpersonal style and operating preferences and thinking and decision making.

  1. Verbal, Numerical and Abstract Reasoning:
A range of general ability tests assessing ability to use numerical data, written material and convergent and divergent thinking.
  2. Personality Questionnaires:
Our online questionnaires discuss preferences from life and career events and form a picture of someone’s core drivers.
  3. Repertory Grid Interview:
This technique assesses how a person construes his or her experiences and allows us to deduce "how you see the world".
  4. FIRO Elements of Awareness:
This technique measures how people feel when it comes to affection/openness, control and inclusion - the three main interpersonal needs in a group.
  5. Behavioural and Motivational Interview:
This entails a 4-5 hour discussion with our psychologist exploring key influencers, drivers, background, operating style etc…
